Hadassah and little sister Syhven playing

I just love to see them grow and forge new relationships with one another. Now that Syhven is getting bigger and is more active Hadassah is having to learn how to share!

  1. Adorable kids! I have to ask...I haven't seen the name Hadassah since reading a Francine Rivers book, is that where you got her beautiful name? My girlfriend also has a Syhven, spelled Sevhen...because all good things in the Bible come in sevens...sorry if I am nosy, just love your names! Beautiful!

  2. Awe thank you, We actually got it from the movie A Night with the King. Ester's Jewish name was actually Hadassah. Mordicia (I'm certain thats spelled wrong) said that Hadassah was to Ethnic to go to the palace so he changed it. A really cool side note, at our old church an older woman introduced herself to us and when she heard Hadassah's name she was elated-she said "that is my name, Ester" I loved it. I was also happy to hear we had been pronouncing it correctly :-) Dad named our #7 baby Syhven, I changed the spelling and told him I would be ok with that as long as we could give the reason "spiritual perfection" pretty much as you said! Thank you so much for your kind words.
